Why are we BLAMING #Airbnb for the #RentalCrisis ?

It’s very easy to work out that Airbnb is not causing the Rental Crisis in Western Nations if we just use #CommonSense.

Airbnb’s are Holiday Rental Properties and the vast majority are in regions and suburbs that attract Tourists. This rules out most of the larger Working Class Suburbs, but includes Middle/Upper Class Suburbs and Regions next to Beaches and Coastal Communities, and Wineries and other Tourist Attractions.

Airbnb’s are usually not located in Suburban sprawls where there are factories and other production facilities, where the jobs are created and where the majority of the population lives. These Suburbs are where the Housing Crisis is hurting Working Families the most, and is caused by a lack of affordable new housing developments and has nothing to do with Airbnb.

These Suburbs are also where the New Migrants want to settle because it’s where the jobs are found, and this creates even more pressure on availability of housing. Obviously, blaming Airbnb is a diversion to hide the real reason we are facing an increasing Rental Crisis.

Instead of Solving the Rental Crisis EXTREMIST Politicians want to blame Airbnb to exacerbate the problem and do nothing to create Sustainable Housing Solutions.
